As the season nears a close there were a couple records set by Utah spearfishers, one a world record.
Stephen Phair recorded the first Black Crappie taken, weighing in at 12 oz, at Deer Creek.
Jonathan Patrick Vail didn't allow Terry Reist's record to last long. Johnathan nudge the record up by a few ounces and a little length. 28 lbs 15 oz, 46 inches long.
